We have many years' experience of fabrication in Aluminium Alloys, Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium and lnconel and a wide range of other materials, including Plastics. We can manufacture virtually anything in most materials. We can punch it, press it, cut it, turn it or mill it: precisely, and often automatically. Ongoing investment programs ensure we keep abreast of the very latest in technology.
Welding
NFF has a high degree of expertise in all welding techniques. Numerous formal Approvals, including CAA, EN ISO 15614, ASME and NADCAP. All welding operators are approved for Aluminium
& Steel Brazing. Equipment includes an automatic circumferential rotary welder and a 2 metre Bode seam welder. An Inert Gas Atmosphere Welding Chamber equipped with Purge Monitor provides the ultimate Argon-filled / Oxygen-free environment for the welding of exotic material such as Titanium, Zirconium and other refracting materials.
NDT (Non Destructive Testing)
To support the welding and machining departments NFF has its own NDT section which is NADCAP Approved and staffed by its own Level 2 and Level 3 personnel. C.S.W.I.P Visual Welding Inspection.
DNC (Direct Numerical Control)
Modern production techniques are used with high-technology capability. All our CNC machines are DNC Linked for off-line programming. Our software is capable of reading and printing all known file types to enable information to be sent via email to ensure rapid response to our customers.
CNC Milling Centre
Our machine shop includes a CNC Milling Centre with programmable tool changes and a probing facility. To complement this resource we have a CNC 5 axis Lathe supported by conventional machinery which, by using various combinations, allows us to produce both small batches or high volume orders, to suit our customers’ requirements.
Finishing
Dual-capability Paint Shop which is able to apply powder coating or stove enamelling finishes as required. Twin gas-fired ovens that are calibrated and fitted with temperature readouts. Three water backed spray booths and a temperature-controlled paint store. Electronic gloss level measuring device and paint thickness gauge to ensure all painted components comply with the most demanding customer specifications.
Project Management
NFF is very experienced in handling projects. Project Management is offered to all our customers, as our expertise in the procurement of materials and specialised parts and our control of the activity right through to final inspection suits many of our clients. We also offer delivery to our customers' clients to reduce delays. All data are scanned and electronically stored making information / data card / C of C's easily retrievable.
